Gridley, Calif. —

Christine Lawanda Thomas, 77, of Ukiah, born, October, 24, 1934, in Wanette, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2011, after a long battle with diabetes, she was a graduate of Gridley High School, and owned a beauty shop in Ukiah and did hair for several years, she and her late husband, Dale, used to square dance a lot.

She is survived by two sons: Randy and Danny Thomas, both of Ukiah; mother Della Martin, of Gridley; two brothers, Earnie Martin of Oroville and Robert Martin, of Gridley; two sisters: Betty Smith, of Cresent City and Wanda Porter, of Gridley. She is also survived by one grandchild and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Thomas and father Alvin Martin.

Private services were held in Ukiah.
